The Story
liquidesign was founded by Graham Twine, a software engineer who's been writing code since before Arduino existed. Yes, we learned assembly the hard way—by reading datasheets and toggling bits manually. Kids these days have it too easy! 😄
With over 30 years of experience across South Africa's leading financial institutions and corporations, we've seen technology evolve from mainframes to microservices, from on-premise data centers to cloud-native architectures.

Started with microcontrollers and assembly language. No Arduino, no libraries, just datasheets and determination.

Moved into enterprise software development. Java, databases, and learning that "it works on my machine" isn't good enough.

Our Tech Philosophy 🤓
"Use the right tool for the job" — But make sure it's open source, runs on Linux, and you can fix it when it breaks at 3 AM.
"Automate everything" — If you do it twice, write a script. If you do it three times, build a pipeline.
"Security by design, not by accident" — Your smart toaster doesn't need WiFi, and your API definitely needs authentication.
